Course Description

The focus of this course is to help you plan and deliver outstanding lessons.

The course has two main areas of focus:

  • We will examine the six factors critical to successful learning.

  • We will use these factors to develop a lesson based on a four-part structure, and we will explore why this structure helps makes lessons outstanding.

In module 1 we look at the six factors critical to successful learning. In modules 2-5 we will examine each element of the four-part lesson structure.

As you work through each module we will talk you through a range of exercises. Sometimes we will simply ask you to reflect, in other words to think about something – perhaps a great lesson you taught, or maybe a not so great one.

Sometimes we will ask you to do an actual activity, to engage with the materials. These activities usually have a corresponding worksheet. You can download the worksheets in the control panel for each module.

At the end of this course you will understand what contributes to outstanding learning. You will also know how to plan an outstanding lesson.

This course is led by Indu Bedi. She is an expert in helping to upskill locally trained teachers to international standards – you will be in great hands.

TIMING: How quickly do I have to complete the modules?

The course is entirely self-paced. We have designed it based on you completing one module per week, but you don’t have to. You can do the modules faster, or you can take longer. It is up to you.

Your course registration also lasts for a full year from the date you signed-up. So, you could stretch out the modules over the whole year if you like. Or you can repeat modules. The materials are all here for you to use and revisit as you like.

The resources for Module One are available as a FREE PREVIEW.

Even if you don't sign-up for the whole course, the M1 resources include lots of valuable information.
